Senseless Killing || Back to top

Officials at Bombay Hospital, speaking on condition of anonymity, said a Japanese man had died there and nine Europeans had been admitted, three of them in critical condition with gunshots.

When I read news reports like these, it saddens me to think that, most people just read the report and say, ah.. so sad, etc, etc

As for me, I have flashes in my mind, what if that random person who drowned/got knocked down/got shot/got beheaded/got bombed/got raped & killed/got kidnapped/got held hostage

was someone i loved & cared about deeply, how would it feel.

What if it was my mum, my dad, my brother, my friends, my relatives, how would it have felt. Scary thoughts.

Sometimes it makes me wonder, where is the god that everyone prays to when such things happen. Maybe thats why i'm so apathetic towards religion.

by the way, this particular answer on yahoo intrigued me, i think it applies to all religions though.

organized religion is not good because each religion is man made.. and mankind screws everything up!! Having faith and believing in the Father and Jesus Christ is all that's necessary. There's no need to only eat fish on certain days, or only wear certain clothes. God didn't make those rules up, man did. And excuse me, but no MAN/WOMAN is going to tell me how I need to live my life.. just God can do that and actually have me obey Him.

Religion=Bad
Faith=Good

It's like a long time ago I asked a church evangelist, who happens to be very annoying by the way, why do I need to go to a church every sunday to pray to god? Why can't I pray inside my heart? I'm sure, with all gods, all that matters is your faith, nothing else matters.

I would like to have faith in myself and the people who are actually here helping me.

Just a note: I am strictly neutral towards all religions, however it may not always be the same for people who worship the religion.
