Latest wants from TopShop A little history before all the pictures: TopShop was launched in 1964, England UK, as part of the Arcadia Group in the basement of a departmental store. Wikipedia says that TopShop was considered to be "deeply unfashionable in the 1960s", thankfully it has reinvented itself and we all have pretty clothes from TopShop. Also from Wikipedia, "Topshop has also been criticized by student campaigning network People & Planet for allegedly using cotton picked in Uzbekistan by slaves and for refusing to join the Ethical Trading Initiative." I wonder, what really are the base costs for our clothing. hmm? BACK TO THE WANTS. Most pieces chosen for its timelessness and ability to fit seamlessly into my closet. heh. here it is: Ah. Corset Tops. Useful for making boyfriends drool and underneath a nice jacket. Lingerie. Once again, useful for making boyfriends unable to sleep, or to dress it up as a... dress? White Dress. I know it looks a little nurse-y, however, with the correct accessories and stockings, it will be a very versatile day dress. Maybe with my flower headband, black biker jacket, long peacock eye feather necklace? Biker Jacket. I have a biker jacket from F21, but that's more shiny and button-ey. This one is simpler, easier to match with elaborate outfits. AND THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT RED THAT DRAWS MY ATTENTION. Trenchcoat. I love: the cuffs, the poof on sleeves, double breasted buttons, turtle-neck collars, inverted V at the bottom. Girly Trench with tulle. This feels very Audrey Hepburn for some reason. Dark green is nice, hard to find pieces other than plain cardigans and tank tops in this colour. It deserves more LOVE. A pair of weird gothic leggings. Despite me not being a fan of footless leggings, I want this pair sooooooo badly. At least its full length footless leggings, not the ones that end midcalf. A bodysuit. Yeah most Singaporeans cringe at the thought of having to wear this out. But I can easily say it will be a damn convenient piece. Just throw a jacket over, or a low cut shirt, then POOF! you have a outfit. Snakeskin oxfords. Because i don't like snakes, but i like the pattern of their hide. And good old traditional flat oxfords NEVER go out of style. NEVER. Brown Oxfords. Yup. same reason as the above. NEVER. Pink Box Luggage. I don't even care about the loudness of the colour, the structure, design, timelessness of the luggage is so...me? I wish it came in dark colours. Black Quilted Bag. I don't exactly know how big this is, it'll make a wonderful luggage if it was big, a versatile handbag if it was small. Red Corset Dress. Its like a lounge dress, you know? Something the lounge singer wears? So simple in a complex way. A funnily grandma shirt. I love this. I would pass it on to my daughter (if i had one) and she would be able to wear it as a dress when she's 10, Scrunched up as a sleeveless in her teens, As a normal shirt in her adulthood. ah. Simple Worded Shirt. For the same reasons mentioned above, I likeeeeeeeee it too. If i had one, i would snip off the sleeves, and made the bottom rounded like the neck area. Long Sleeveless Shirt I don't know who those people on the shirt are, But it feels like this shirt can be worn to a rock and roll concert. Black Velvet Blazer. It looks like a blazer made out of cardigan material. I wish it was a cardigan in the blazer design so i won't die of heatstroke. Black V Blazer I find the V intriguing, its like a visual feast. If i had this i would prolly not wear a shirt underneath it. Boyfriend Blazer. I have a fetish for blazers. Don't mind me. White Boyfriend Blazer. I've always been on the search for a white boyfriend blazer ever since i saw one of the female main role wearing it in coffee prince. Unfortunately, i didn't find this in Singapore's TopShops. sigh, the sadness. |
