Bart Simpson's Guide to Life || Back to top

One of my more treasured books, Bart's Simpson's Guide to Life.

NO, not because its fully coloured and have many pictures,

ok maybe because its fully coloured, have many pictures and does not reek of cheapskate books.

Not that i think the knowledge inside the book is of lower quality if the paper is thin and etc, i just like THICK pages.

PS. my liking of thick pages in books does not apply to textbooks because it only makes them heavier to lug to class.

okok. back to topic, in Bart's book, there's a page on annoying questions to ask your sunday school teacher, aka when u go to church and attend needless lessons.

1. Is it a sin to mouth obscenities if you don't make any sound?

2. Wouldn't eternal bliss get boring after a while?

3. Is it ok to laugh at people in hell, when u're up in heaven?

4. If you were a masochist in life, wouldn't it be a reward to be sent to hell and punishment to be sent to heaven?

5. If i spent all my time praying instead of studying, would i get better grades?

6. If money is the root of all evil, then how come we have to have jobs?

Yes, this is just some of it, hilarious book.

It reminds me of that time i asked my dear huiming,

So u mean a prayer and honest believe in god will redeem everyone of their sins?

then she says yes,

then i asked, u mean.. even murderers, rapist, etc?

then she says yes, if they really believe in god.

then i thought to myself...maybe heaven's not a place i might want to go to.

Then i thought of ANOTHER silly thing, since most religions don't allow the multi-religionism

(i made up that word), does that mean: there's many different heavens?

one heaven for muslims, one heaven for christians, one heaven for buddhists.

I might just take up the way of Taoism, its not a religion (to me at least), just a way of life involving a variety of related philosophical and religious traditions and concepts. In fact, i've always felt thats the way humans should view religion, not confuse them with totality of their lives.

In case u have no idea of what i'm talking about: I mean, religion should provide certain principals and morals, be a part of your life, it should not be your life.

Oh well. hahaha. And besides, Taoism is nice because its a subtle thing.

Practitioners believed that by performing Taoist sexual arts, one could stay in good health, and eventually, with some other spiritual or alchemical practices, attain immortality.

Whoa, I would like to gain immortality through sex please. Haha. No joke.
